Rhodri Evans is a versatile multi camera OB Director, Presentation Director and Producer with over 30 years’ experience in TV broadcasting. Until June 2020 he was one of the mainstays of the IMG Production Department, supervising projects with little or no assistance and was relied upon to deliver high quality work. With a broad knowledge of all sports, he is now seeking new opportunities as a freelancer.

Rhodri began his broadcasting career as a researcher with BBC Radio Gwent in Cwmbran before working as a freelance rugby and football reporter for BBC Wales in Cardiff. He then moved to London to work as a Sports Producer with Trans World International (now IMG Media). He produced a daily sports magazine show called SportsCenter for ESPN International and after producing a cricket series for the ICC, began directing snooker for the BBC. He is still one of the main snooker directors and has travelled worldwide to cover the sport for WST.TV. He produced the European Tour Weekly programme for many years and the Total Rugby show for the IRB between 2005 and 2009. He directed the IRB Awards ceremony in 2008.

In 2012 he was a member of a ground breaking team directing swimming and diving in 3D for the first time at the London Olympics. He has directed Champions Tour Tennis at the Royal Albert Hall, the Wimbledon Championships as well as ATP and WTA events. As well as directing snooker for both BBC and Eurosport, he currently directs EFL matches using the SimplyLive system at IMG in Stockley Park. He occasionally directs Charlton TV on match days for White Label Media and is a gallery producer for Amazon Prime Tennis.
